Why is my hair so thin?

something i don't get is that my dad is italian and he has wavy, curly hair, but my mom had really thin hair and for some reason my hair is thin and wavy do you think if i grow it out it will get wavy?

Why is my hair so thin?

It's all in your genes. You have your dad's waves and your mom's thinness.

If you were to grow it longer, it would get straighter because the extra length is weighing the strands down more. The shorter the hair, the curlier/wavier because it has less gravitational pull, making it easier for the hair to retain it's natural wave.

The shape your hair is in can also be determined by your diet as well. You will need to eat foods high in vitamins A, C, B's 1,2,6, and 12,folic acid, biotin, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc. There are vitamins (pill form) available that contain these vitamins as well many others essential for hair, skin and nails. Be sure to keep it clean but not overly washed because the scalps natural oils help protect your hair.

i have the same situation and i find the longer it gets the straiter it is, and if i chop it off, it gets really wavy like my dads

Why is my hair so thin?

it probably will get wavy... it's either wavy like ur father or very very straight!!!

thin hair is usually very straight but is also easy to manage

Why is my hair so thin?

If your grandpa on your moms side had thin hair chances are your hair will be thin also.
