i have thin hair thats just past my shoulders, and i am going to get it cut into a bob soon (just past my chin...)

should i get layers too?? or will that make my thin hair just look thinner??

layers would get good, then you can add shape and if you blow dry with your head upside down it will add more volume, and you can add some texture, oh and get an asymetrical bob, they look awsome

Layers tend to make hair look thinner. Try protein supplements if you want thicker hair.

If you want a classic bob, dont do the layers- if you want some flair you can, layers can make your hair look thicker or thinner depending on the hair cut style as well as they way you style your hair everyday. For example, if you blow your hair upside down, then they will add some volume (especially with volumizing shampoo!) but if you comb it flat or straighten it, it may look a bit thin. Talk to your hairstylist and see what she thinks- they are trained to help people find looks to fit them. Goodluck!

They give you some Volume because the weight is not all at the bottom of your hair dragging it down.

Certain layers can make the hair look thinner, but if you get long layers it can add volume to your hair and make it appear fuller.

Up until highschool I had very fine hair but then had my hair cut above my shoulders w/ long layers, and since then my hair is thicker. I would ask the hair stylist for their opinion.

with thin hair, cut in layers and buy a difuser hair dryer, [one with a large attachment where the air come out] and dry your hair whilt bending over with your hair hanging down. this will give you fullenss. stay away from contitioners, they flatten hair.

if you get long layers it actually will make your hair look a little thicker, but dont get short layers because it will definately make your hair look thinner!
